Our most rewarding project to date: this house was designed and built for three adult siblings with autism whose parents planned a long-term built around their children’s special needs.

The design program provides each of the siblings with a private suite of their own, several large common areas for guests and family of the siblings to visit and enjoy holidays and celebrations together without compromising the siblings’ individual need for space, quiet, and a lack of commotion.

Primary living is on the first floor and includes the private suites, kitchen and dining, caregiver office and sleeping area, laundry, sensory room, numerous sitting areas. Occupational activity and therapeutic spaces are on the lower floor including a gymnasium, massage room, music and art studios, activity tables, and a large sitting area.

A walkout leads to covered patio space, an outdoor living room and swim spa, as well as five acres of walking trails through woods which will soon be opened up to the broader special needs community to enjoy the outdoors.
